Official Records Contacts

This is a private reference, not a Williamson County government office. We cannot verify current custody, release a person, accept bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Please contact the office that maintains the particular record or status directly.

County Custody and Records

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and its detention staff are the official county routes for current custody questions and records maintained by WCSO. The John I. Easley Jr. Criminal Justice Center is at 408 Century Court, Franklin, TN 37064. Main office hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; confirm availability before a visit. Current detention and classification functions have separate availability.

For release-date information, the detention page directs callers to ask for Classifications at 615-790-5570, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. WCSO advises that hours and availability can change. A request for a booking record or image should be specific and sent through the sheriff’s public-record request route, not assumed from a general county portal.

  • For county booking or custody questions, use the detention line and ask whether intake is complete.
  • For a WCSO record or photograph, use the specific records-request path and identify the person and date range.
  • For an active warrant-status question, use the criminal-warrants line or the appropriate court clerk.
  • For a later case result, use the Williamson County court and TnCIS route rather than a custody line.

Which Office Holds It?

A police incident, a county intake record, a state-prison profile, and a federal or immigration detention record are held by different custodians. Franklin Police Records can be reached at 615-791-3234, Spring Hill Police lists 931-486-2632 and records hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Brentwood Police lists 615-371-0160. For a municipal incident, start with the arresting department and ask which facility received the person.

  • County custody and booking records covers WCSO detention contacts, formal requests, TDOC FOIL, court follow-up, and federal fallbacks.
  • The Tennessee Department of Correction’s FOIL locator is for qualifying state felony-offender custody or supervision, not a local jail roster.
  • The Bureau of Prisons locator and ICE locator apply only to their respective federal or immigration custody systems.
  • Spring Hill spans two counties, so confirm whether the incident occurred on the Williamson or Maury County side before seeking the receiving-jail record.
